How it holds together
Each base has a raised lip around a recessed pocket. Two silver disc magnets sit in wells in the floor of that pocket — you can see them, they are not sealed inside the plastic. The nameplate carries two magnets of its own on the back, so it drops into the pocket and the magnets meet face to face.
To swap it, hook a fingertip into the shallow scoop above the plate and lift. No tools, no clips, nothing to break.

All three sizes are 7 mm thick at the border. Nameplates are size-specific — a Medium nameplate will not fit a Large base, so match the size of what you already own.
